Metis Comics
The Metis Comics are created in Collaboration with the Metis Project by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
I started to work on the Metis Comics in 2022 together with Philosophers of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. The Project is created in Procreate.
The Comics are mainly working as an appetizer for their philosophy podcast, which they are publishing on their website. The comics themself are mainly published on Instagram. Since I'm working full time, these Comics are a side hustle of mine. So I also don't have much time for their creation. Still, I love to work on them and through the short time given, their creation is like a challenge to me.
In the Comics our Mascot Metis travels through the World, on her search of philosophic answers. During her journeys she gets confronted with small Elements of the Podcasts, so the comic will create awareness for them.
For the Character Design of Metis, I was inspired by "The little Witch" by Prof. Otfried Preußler.
The client wished for a female, ageless, adventurous and intelligent Character.
